Puppies On A Walk

When You go on a walk with your dog, make sure that you bring its most favorite treats along. If your dog is a large or a big dog breed such as a german shepherd, dalmation, great dane, or husky then it could wear a collar. If your dog is a beagle, chihuahua, pomeranian or a pug, then your dog should wear a harness because your dogs trachea or esophagus might get ruined because or pulling or choking. While you go on your walk, make sure to keep your dog close to you. Dont keep your dogs leash too long so that your dog wont slip out of its collar or harness. If its leash is too short, your dog might start pulling and choking itself. You should probably get a six foot long leash because it is easy to use for training and walking. When your dog sees another dog and starts going crazy and barking and jumping, quickly turn around and walk the other way. While you are walking away, make sure that the treats are in your pocket next to your dog. Call your dogs name, and when your dog looks at you, give your dog its treat and continue doing that repeadetly. Make sure your dog is standing next to you and not too far away. Your dogs feet shouldnt have to get off of the ground to reach the treat. If your dog jumps up take the treat away and walk the way and try it again. If you see a dog before your dog sees it, get your dogs attention and walk and feed your dog. Make sure that you always have your dogs attention. If your dog fails to give its attention to you, turn around the other way and continue the routine in the other direction.

Puppies Training To Sit

To make your dog to sit you need to find out which kind of treat your dog is crazy for. Your dog may like Beggin' Strips or T-Bone Bites or Dingo Bites. Once you find out which treat your dog likes then you get your dogs attention. You hold the treat right above your dogs nose and slowly bring it above its head. Don't hold the treat too high where your dog can stand or has to get up on its hind legs. It may take awhile until your dog gets the hang of this. Try this about five times a day so that you don't overdue it. Once your dog finally sits give the treat to your dog and give it lots of praise by talking to your and and petting it.

When You Should Spay Or Neuter Your Dog

When your dog is around 3-6 months old you should start thinking on spaying you dog in that age range. If you dont want your dog to have puppies, consider getting it fixed at that age range. If you decide that you dont want your dog to have puppies but you dont want it to be fixed, then think again. If you fix your puppy at a later age, your dog could get cancer. If you never fix your dog, it could get a tumor or cancer around the ovaries and die at around the age of five years old. If you have a male dog, then it will be fine, its the females that have trouble.

Puppy Bowl

I watched the puppy bowl last night and I loved it. It was so cute. I wish that I can at least adopt one of those adorable little puppies. Fumble, Abilene, Aberdeen, Oscar, Prancer, Tattoo and many other puppies were all adorable. :)

The Right Toy and Treat for the Right Dog

If you have a 2-6 month old puppy then you should get some teething toys for your puppy and soft puppy treats that say that they have the calcium and vitamins that they need. If your dog is 6months-1 year old then you should get some soft chewy and squeaky toys and balls. If your dog is older than that then you should get some tennis balls, rubber toys and tug of war toys.

Puppies Socializing

When you first get a puppy, keep it at your house and get to know your puppy  before it meets anyone else. Once your puppy has gotten accustomed to its home, you may let one friend at a time come and meet your puppy. Your friend must be calm and quiet. Your friend should only hang around for about an hour or two. From time to time, feed your puppy some treats. When your friend meets your puppy, your friend should give your puppy treats to become friends with your puppy.

How To Care For A Delivering Dog

When your dog is expecting puppies very soon, make sure you have the following: a whelping box, lots of warm blankets, towels, and a heating lamp. Make sure that your whelping box is in a warm, peaceful and quiet place. When your dog goes into labor, make sure that she is in the whelping box. When her first pup comes out, take the puppy, put it on the towel on your hands and rub the puppy until the puppy starts crying. Once the puppy cries, put the puppy right back with its mother. Once all the puppies are born, take out the dirty newspapers and put in the blankets. Make sure that the heating lamp is on and check on the dog from time to time.

How To Care For a Pregnant Dog

If you have a dog that is pregnant and its in its first month, she is stilll abale to go on walks. Towards the end of her first month she should go on shorter walks. You may give her the food that she has been eating, like Blue, IAMS, Purina. Once your dog is at thesecond month of her pregnancy, you should start to mix her food together with puppy food so that her puppies may get the nutrients that they need. Keep your dog off of walks so that she may get the rest and strength she needs for the arrival of her puppies.
