When grooming your dog you need a specific brush. If you have a long-haired dog with thick fur, then you need a wire brush. These brushes have wire bristles. If you have a dog with short or decently short fur then you need a rubber brush. Some dogs, (like mine), see a brush with a handle as a toy to chew on, or get scared of a handle brush, so they won't sit still. If this happens, then you can buy a brush at a pet store that is like the shape of an oval or a circle. You can either hold it in your hand or slip your hand into it.
When feeding your dog, you need to guve it a certain amount of food and a certain amount of times a day. If you buy wet or dry dog food in a bag or can, then look on the back. It will tell you on the directions or on a little chart how much to feed your dog. It will give it to you pound/measurement. It will tell you about a quarter of a can twice a day for a 5-15 pound dog, half a can for a 16-25 pounds for about twice a day. Those were examples, but you can still feed your dog that way.
When bathing your dog, may sure to use room temperature water. Soak your dog pretty well on its body, but not on its head so that you dont get water in its ears. Lather (scrub) the dog shampoo into your dogs fur (not on the head) and make sure to rinse thouroughly. Afterwards, take a towel, wrap your dog in it and dry your dog off.
